Robot Heart Stories: Transmedia & Education

Robot Heart Stories is the first in a trilogy of experiential learning projects from award winning storytelling visionary and experience designer Lance Weiler and creative producer Janine Saunders. Each project will inspire young and old alike to co-create and share. The goal is to reboot how we think about learning in an effort to unleash a collaborative journey into the future of education. The trilogy focuses on air, land and sea in three unique participatory storytelling initiatives designed to develop creativity, digital literacy and collaborative problem solving skills.

Teaching Childern to Code with Games 

Deadly robots, dramatic arenas, and asynchronous strategy are all part of Hakitzu - a game developed by Kuato Studios that introduces kids to Javascript, one of today’s most popular programming languages.

With no programming knowledge necessary, players will develop a range of coding skills through strategic game-play and customizable robots. Multiplayer competitions, achievements shared on social networks, regular upgrades and downloads

Transmedia, Hollywood 4: Spreading Change

On Friday, April 12, 2013, the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television is teaming up with USC Annenberg School of Communication and USC School of Cinematic Arts for the Transmedia, Hollywood 4 conference. Presented by the Andrew J. Kuehn Jr. foundation, the theme of the conference will be “Spreading Change”.
